Claribel's passion for midwifery began during a public health practicum in Guatemala, where she worked alongside indigenous midwives in rural communities. That experience inspired her lifelong commitment to reproductive justice and equitable maternal healthcare. She believes every birthing person deserves respectful, individualized care and strives to create an environment where patients feel empowered, knowledgeable, and confident throughout pregnancy and birth.

Beyond caring for patients, Claribel is dedicated to improving maternal health in underserved communities. She helped establish Maryam Reproductive Health and Wellness, a nonprofit clinic in the Bronx, and annually hosts a free cervical cancer screening event for members of the LGBTQ+ community. She is also an active member of the National Black Midwives Alliance and remains passionate about advancing equitable access to quality reproductive healthcare.

Claribel chose to join Nile Women's Health Care because of the practice's commitment to providing exceptional, equitable care to Georgia's diverse communities. She is proud to partner with patients and families as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and women's healthcare with confidence and support.

When she's not caring for patients, Claribel enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with her wife, Nicole, and their toy poodle, Givenchy.
